You can add a <noscript> ...< noscript> section to handle non javascript enabled browsers, perhaps asking the user to click on the corresponding link to slow, medium or high speed connection. This way the spiders get to follow all those too. But no, it cannot be kept track of by Statcounter, as I said, due to the huge bandwidth overhead of doing this test for every pageload. You do it when you have to make a decision concerning perhaps audio video content fidelity to serve, or other relevant co myspace viewer

Ick a link isn't being applied by MySpace users yet. Unfortunately, learning the lesson is likely to be painful for a lot of MySpace users. 3 Responses to “MySpace Profile Tracker Bulletin Scams Take Off” 1. Angie Says: May 30th, 2006 at 8:17 pm I was just wondering if you do know of any way to see who views your profile the most? Get back to me when you can. 2. Kevin Farnham Says: May 31st, 2006 at 4:29 am Angie, my advice remains that people do not install profile tracking software. That’s what you’d need to do to see who visits your profile the most. And right now there are a lot of scams where people are told they can just do some simple steps and they’ll be able to see who visits their profile — but the code is actually produced by a malicious hacker and it does destructive things to the people’s computers and to their visitors’ computers. There is more discussion on this in another post on this blog: MySpace Profile Visit Tracker Spyware. I’m hoping MySpace will add this as an option, as discussed in the post Should MySpace Implement Its Own Profile Tracking Option?” 3. Dom Says: June 3rd, 2006 at 1:26 am Say you did try to repost a bulletin or install a code to get a profile tracker. Shouldn’t your virus protection (McAfee, Norton, etc.) be able to detect anything going wrong on your computer? If not, how do I find out if there is any spywear on my computer from clicking on links or reposting any garbage… How did Oseary remove all the spywear that he is talking about above?
